Smartphone game Fate/Grand Order is revealing the Servant characters that will play key roles in the upcoming “Part 2” through a series of 15-second commercials that are also being made available online.
Two are being revealed each week for four weeks, for a total of eight characters. The second two to be revealed were Lancer (designed by Azusa and voiced by Komatsu Mikako) and Alter Ego (designed by Furumi Shouichi and voiced by Morikawa Toshiyuki).
Alter Ego is a servant previously seen in part 1.5 of Fate/Grand Order, in which he was introduced as “Caster Limbo”.
Fate/Grand Order is a smartphone game spinoff of Type Moon’s popular Fate series, which revolves around mages summoning Servants, powerful familiars that are copies of historical and mythological figures like King Arthur and Joan of Arc. The story to Fate/Grand Order’s first part concluded at the end of 2016 with the defeat of a threat that aimed to annihilate human history, and the short prologue to part 2, in which a new threat revealed itself and decimated the protagonists’ home base, was released at the end of 2017. The first chapter of part 2 is scheduled for release in spring 2018.
