Marvellous has revealed two new playable characters for upcoming game Fate/Extella Link, protagonist of the ancient Indian epic Mahabharata, Arjuna, and Persian king Darius III. Both characters have previously appeared in the smartphone game Fate/Grand Order, and each is a rival to a character who had already appeared in Fate/Extella; Arjuna is rival to Karna, and Darius to Iskander (Alexander the Great).
Fate/EXTELLA LINK is a spinoff of Type Moon’s popular Fate series, which revolves around mages summoning Servants, powerful familiars that are copies of historical and mythological figures like King Arthur and Joan of Arc, a sequel to 2016’s Fate/EXTELLA (PS4/Vita), and part of a series that includes 2010’s Fate/EXTRA and 2013’s Fate/EXTRA CCC (PSP). It will be released in Japan on 7th June 2018 for the PS4 and Vita.
