Inti Creates announced at Bit Summit on 12-13 May 2018 that a sequel to Azure Striker Gunvolt, entitled Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX, is in development.
Inti Creates had previously developed the Mega Man Zero and ZX series for GBA and DS, and Gunvolt, inititally released for the 3DS and later ported to the Switch, has similar sidescrolling 2D action gameplay. iX is expected to follow in suit.
Further details will be released in summer 2018.
