The Haruka series comprises of adventure/novel games and typically involved the protagonist getting sent to a parallel world modelled after a historical period in Japan, not dissimilar to the classic anime/manga series Fushigi Yuugi. Though loosely connected, each game is a standalone with a different protagonist. Haruka 6 takes place in Taisho era Japan.

In addition to the regular version, two limited editions, the Treasure Box and  Sono Saki no Mirai e Box have been revealed. The Treasure Box includes and autographed genga replica, a drama CD, a set of charms, and a calendar. The Sono Saki no Mirai e Box includes all of the Treasure Box’s contents as well as a second autographed genga replica, a five-disc epilogue drama CD set, a set of letters from the characters taking place after their endings in the game, a bromide set, and a cosmetics pouch.

An early pre-order bonus for the limited editions has also been announced: Pre-orders made before 17th December 2018 will include a download code for epilogues to all of the character routes in DX, fully voiced and with new stills. This will not be released as paid DLC later.

Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 6 DX will be released on the Nintendo Switch on 14th March 2019.
