A Fire Emblem: Three Houses survey was conducted by Famitsu on the game’s players with the results published in the 10/31 2019 issue of the magazine.

The survey was conducted from 27-30 September 2019 and answered by 3492 people, consisting of 1564 male and 1928 female users. 1880 surveyees were in their 20s while 897 were in their 30s, 446 were aged 10-19 and 251 were in their 40s. There were 4 players below 10, 12 in their 50s, one in their 60s, and one above 80. Not all surveyees answered all questions.

Playthrough count

1149 surveyees were on their fourth or subsequent playthrough, while 1081 were on their second playthrough, 827 were on their third, and 418 were still on their first.

 

First class chosen

1396 surveyees chose the Blue Lions as their first class, while 1185 chose the Black Eagles, and 898 picked the Gold Deer.

Of the 1185 surveyees who chose the Black Eagles as their first class, 923 first chose the Edelgard route, while 262 chose the church route.

The number of players for each difficulty combination, from easiest to hardest, is as follows:

Fire Emblem Three Houses survey - maddening lunatic difficulty115 surveyees had already cleared the game in maddening difficulty, and 489 were still playing it on this mode. 1597 answered that they were planning to play maddening difficulty in the future, and 1190 had no plans to do so.

Of the players who did play in maddening difficulty, 164 chose did so in new game plus, while 426 chose to start completely fresh.

 

Amiibo and online elements

Surveyees were asked if they used the Amiibo and online features in the game. 689 used both, 1156 used online features only, 285 used Amiibos only, and 1267 did not use either.

The most popular track from the game was the Japanese version’s theme song, Hresvelg no Shoujo ~Fuukasetsugetsu~ with 644 votes. The Japanese theme song’s CD marked the major debut of singer Caro, who had been drawing attention since her indies debut release of Fallin’ in 2017.
