Several new projects were announced at the âge 20th anniversary broadcast Still Breathing, including a sequel to the Muv-Luv series, a Muv-Luv action game, and a reboot of Kimi ga Nozomu Eien.
Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After Sequel
A sequel to Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After, which was previously released as episodes as part of the Muv-Luv Alternative Chronicles series, was confirmed. Though no concrete details were given, it was stated that they wish to release it “within âge’s 21st anniversary”.
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien Reboot
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien Reboot (tentative title) was announce. Producer Tororo stated that while they have not decided on the finer details of what this being a reboot would entail, he did say that they intend on updating the game system, and that he hopes to make it something that will “join up to the Muv-Luv series”.
Project Mikhail
“Project Mikhail” is a Muv-Luv action game that allows the player to control the series’ Tactical Surface Fighter mechs directly, scheduled for a 2021 release for PC, iOS and Android. Japanese, English and Chinese versions have already been confirmed.
The game allows the player to customise their TSFs, swapping out parts and weapons.
The staff working on Project Mikhail include people who worked on the Front Mission series, the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm series, White Knight Chronicles, Ogre Battle 64, and the Final Fantasy series.
It was confirmed that Project Mikhail will not include pay-to-win elements such as gacha or lootboxes, but they are currently considering alternate forms of monetisation for the game, such as subscriptions or battle passes.
Muv-Luv Integrate
Finally, Muv-Luv Integrate, which series creator Yoshimune Kouki called a “proper sequel to Muv-Luv Alternative” was announced.
Several image boards were shown, but Yoshimune stated that it has not been decided yet on what form Integrate will be released in. When asked about the significance of the title, Yoshimune talked about how the Muv-Luv series has spawned numerous spin-offs and parallel worlds, and says that Integrate is supposed to signify everything being brought together, while referencing Turn A Gundam*1.
