Kadokawa Games has announced in a press release that the upcoming mecha SRPG Relayer (PS5/PS4) will be released worldwide (Japan included) on 24 March 2022.The decision was made in order to have the Japanese and international versions of the game released simultaneously.

About the PS4 version

The following was announced about the PS4 version:

⦁ Players who purchase the PS4 version of Relayer will be able to upgrade to the PS5 version at no cost.
⦁ When upgrading from the PS4 version to the PS5 version, save data and trophies can be carried over.


Kadokawa Games also apologizes for the delay in the press release, stating:

“To overseas fans, we are deeply sorry for taking so long to announce details on the game and its release date. We received many inquiries about when the international release date would be every day, and did our best to work alongside the relevant parties to do something about it. Today’s announcement and change of release date is the result of us working with our overseas publishers to ensure that Relayer is released in Japan and overseas simultaneously. We would like to thank you for your understanding in this matter.”
