Gakuen Idolmaster is the latest entry in the long-running Idolmaster series, launched in Japan in May 2024. The game, currently available on both mobile and PC, is a spinoff of the Idolmaster series set in a school environment. Players assume the role of a student in the producer division of Hatsuboshi Academy, where they manage and support one of the idols in the idol division. The gameplay departs from previous titles by combining the traditional Idolmaster raising elements with roguelite and deck-building features. Each idol comes with a deck of skill cards used to get through lessons to raise stats, and auditions where they compete against other characters.
